Broker's Comments

This beautiful boat is new and was used for the 2016 Boatshows. The trailer is now included.

This craft only has a 0.55m (2ft) draught making it ideal for exploring those creeks and estuaries. The low location of the centre of effort and the shape of the hull with the narrow transom make the yacht fit for sailing in bad weather. Strong heeling does not cause a drastic change of longitudinal trim. As a result, the yacht does not have a tendency to luff up strongly.

An adequate parting between the profile lines, despite the small bow overhang, ensures dry sailing by the wind. The chalice like shape of the hull in the stern section and the narrow transom ensure good running at full courses. A solid helm, secured by the keel with a slightly negative approach angle facilitates sailing up wind. The yacht does not have a tendency for stern lifting by the waves coming from behind. A permanent rudder secured by a skeg and a relatively shallow long keel ensure good sail stability.

The boat is built in Poland by Szkuner-Ket to the highest quality standards. The typical rigging is a classic arrangement with two pairs of shrouds and a stay fixed to a solid bowsprit. The gaff rig allows for a shorter mast for stowage when travelling. The tabernacle base allows the mast to be erected and dropped single handed. All halyards and sheets are brought back to the cockpit removing the need for going forward to adjust the rig. This also includes easy reefing system. The engine is an outboard fitted in the starboard aft locker.

The lack of a centre plate and inboard engine releases space within the cabin to provide more usable accommodation. A dual fuel cooker fuelled by either spirit or shore supplied electricity is the finishing touch to a great little yacht.
