Broker's Comments

The Jeanneau Sun Kiss 47 is one of there larger boats built in the 80's. They were a modern cutting edge design and became the bench mark throughout the years.
These boats were solidly constructed and have made many log distance passage since there conception.
This example is the lift keel shallow draft Ideal for tidal areas. It has new Yamar engine in 2012 and some nav equipment. It now needs a new owner to re fresh some areas and get her back in thew water.

I looked through and read all about this sailboat. Many times.
There is a lot of work on this sailboat. He was treated quite harshly.
It is a neglected vehicle, but with plenty of sacrifices, I think it is possible to restore its old glory.
Parts to be repaired, replaced, things that need to be renovated, upgraded, modernized. I’m sure several things don’t work at all.
You have to touch almost everything. You have to open your wallet wide ...
- it is not possible to see if there is soaking at the corners, but it can be seen elsewhere
- all dirty, musty and rusty (even the propeller shaft ...)
- they say "new Yanmar engine" But that's what a new engine should look like ?!
- ropes are rotten (full replacement required)
In my opinion, the price is too high. I would be interested in the possibility for a lower price.

My family used to take care of this boat. because the owner had very little time to sail it. We last sailed her in the spring of 2017, down to Union Island and back.
She's a great sailboat. It's a great shame she was abandoned in the yard like that :'(

she needs TLC rust treatment and a good wash wax

Looking pretty ratty! That's what happens when you leave your girl alone in the sun!

1- Is there any sign of the boat being aground. Gap at the keel? Rust bleeding from the keel joint?
2- Is the centerboard functional?
3- any sign of rust bleeding from the rudder shaft at the top of the blade?
4- Leaks by way of the chainplates? Stanchions and other deck penetrations?

St Lucia--- one of my favorite islands.
