Pauls love of boats and the sea started at an early age being born and bred on the shores of Poole harbour on the south coast of England. Paul ‘stumbled’ upon Boatshed whilst searching for a boat to buy and was very impressed with their presence and the system they had developed. After spending 22 years in the family flooring business, which included the floor covering requirements for many Sunseekers from their factory in the town and lots of other shapes and sizes of boats, he eventually decided that a life change was needed. Leaving the stresses and strains of business in England behind he headed for the picturesque coast of Spain's Costa Brava. Searching for a way of making a living, Boatshed was the natural choice and ticked all the boxes.
Steve and Paul have been good friends for over 20 years and when they realised they both wanted to leave the UK for warmer waters, a business partnership seemed the obvious solution. Boatshed CostaBrava was born.
Steve was also originally from Poole but spent 11 years climbing the corporate ladder in London reaching the Board of Directors of one of the city’s leading insurance companies. His passion of the sea began with windsurfing at an early age followed by crewing trips around the Channel Islands.
Boatshed CostaBrava offers a professional stress free service with a simple, non exclusive, 'no sale, no fee' policy. Following personal experiences of buying and selling boats privately and through other brokers in the UK, they have developed their own simple techniques to ensure a pleasurable experience for both the seller and the buyer alike. The whole process from listing and photographing the boat to handing her over to the new owner is personally handled by us.
Based in the canal oasis of Empuriabrava in the Bay of Rosés with nearly 5000 moorings along 24km of waterways we are ideally located to cover our whole territory along the Costa Brava, including Roses, L'Escala, L'Estartit, Platja D'Aro and Palamos to name but a few of the marinas we cover with total moorings numbering over 27,000.
