Comentario del broker
Wooden boats are a passion! Certainly they are, and this wonderful example of a Broom 35 Captain from 1959 personifies that.
MASSIVE REDUCTION
Wonderfully cared for and enjoyed for the last 40 years by her diligent and loving owners, this boat is the very essence of the classic times on the Broads.
She was built by Broom boats and had two short spells in the Broom hire fleet and then was bought by the current owner some 40 years ago.
The boat has kept her original character and has been tastefully updated with battery charger shore power and water heater etc. Her BMC Commander 2.2 diesel engine fires readily into life and has been regularly serviced.
Her Broads toll is paid and her Boat Safety Certificate runs to September 2026.
She had a full out of water survey in 2021 (which is available to the new owner), with all recommendations addressed.
She was last out of the water this past winter and was freshly antifouled. She has a large twin cabin forward flanked by separate heads and shower stalls to port and starboard. The companionway leads up to the cantilever wheelhouse which has seating to the aft and side and drop sash window and full folding screen, this allows her to clear all Broads bridges at the right tide.
Heading aft there is the classic large saloon layout with the galley across the stern and then there is an aft cockpit outside the galley at the stern which has a separate cover.
The boat appears to be in very good order for her age and the care and love lavished on this boat is clear to see. If I was to be critical I would say the forward berth foam would benefit from being renewed however, all the upholstery and coverings are in excellent order throughout the boat.
If you are looking for well maintained and loved classic Broom then this boat will be certain to please and must be viewed.
Her mooring may be available to the new owner by discussion with the marina as the owners are giving up boating after a life afloat.
