The Glastron GS 259 is powered by a Volvo Penta 5.7L GXi engine, a proven and reliable powerplant known for its smooth performance, fuel efficiency, and robust construction. This engine is mated to a Volvo Penta DuoProp outdrive (model TSK-C-52), featuring dual counter-rotating three-blade stainless steel propellers, which provide excellent acceleration, improved handling, and greater efficiency at cruising speeds.
The engine is equipped with a closed cooling system, making it well-suited for saltwater or brackish environments by reducing internal corrosion and extending engine life. Recent inspection and routine maintenance confirm that the engine is in good running condition, with documentation available upon request during the offer process.
Electrical power is supplied by Group 27 marine batteries, installed just over two years ago. All wiring is marine-grade stranded and insulated, professionally routed to ensure reliability and ease of access for service.

The Glastron GS 259 features a solid fiberglass hull with a deep-V design, built for a smooth, stable ride and responsive handling. Glastron’s advanced construction techniques, including VEC (Virtual Engineered Composites) in key areas, ensure consistency, strength, and reduced weight.
The hull and deck are chemically bonded and mechanically fastened, with fiberglass-encapsulated stringers for added rigidity. A fiberglass inner liner provides a clean finish and low maintenance. High-quality materials such as marine-grade stainless steel hardware and UV-resistant gelcoat contribute to the boat’s durability and sleek appearance.
The GS 259 is built to offer reliable performance, structural integrity, and lasting value for coastal cruising and overnight adventures.
Waterline Boats / Boatshed does not independently verify capacities and measures, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

This particular vessel has been well cared for and remains in very clean condition, showing only minor cosmetic imperfections such as light scratches, small dings, and stains — typical for a boat of its age. In March 2022, it was hauled out for inspection. The bottom was found to be in excellent condition, and no damage was observed. The hull was audibly sounded, with no dull areas encountered, and the vessel has been kept in dry storage since.
The engine was recently inspected and serviced with routine maintenance performed. It is in good working order and runs as expected. Service invoices are available and can be provided during the offer process.
The bimini canvas is functional, but the canvas strip connecting to the forward pole needs to be re-stitched. There is also a repaired section where the bimini was previously torn in a docking accident. The forward window panels are soft and pliable but could use cleaning.
