Commentaires du Broker
What a great sea-going dayboat the Hawk 20 is. The current owner tells me she is a good family boat, taking 8 people with some speed if needed but very forgiving. And he has never capsized her either. The Hawk is described as a bomb-proof sailing boat (that incidentally took two years to design) and really is self-righting (even with the keel fully raised) and according to John Reid & Sons, unsinkable. Looking at this example I’d have to agree that this is a good family day boat with plenty of cockpit space, ample dry lockers, a decent outboard to motor when there’s no wind and a good set of sails including a spinnaker for some decent sailing. In fact the Hawk is strictly one-design making racing competitive and great fun. This Hawk is equipped with electrics for the cockpit instruments and all-round white navigation lights and even includes cockpit cushions for a truly relaxing sail when you’re not racing!
