Broker's Comments
When I first set eyes on this little yacht, some 25 years ago, I thought 'now there is a proper yacht' and my opinion hasn't much changed.
Yachts like this (Van de Stadt designed, Tyler built, what a pedigree!) have girdled the globe countless times. They will take a sailor anywhere......but, sadly this one is now a restoration project!
She was sold to her present owner by us, five years ago almost to the day and from that day to this she has, as far as I know, never left her berth! She was in need of some TLC when we sold her but she is now in need of a total refit. She has a hull, sweet Folk Boat lines, an engine which might run but we don't know, a mast and rigging and sails, but she is for sale where is and as is. She requires time, energy and patience rather than cash to bring her back to life, but she will need a new boom or at least some fairly major surgery to the old one.
