Broker's Comments
My first impressions as I approached this boat were one of a very well looked after and much cared for boat. Her upper hull is a lovely deep Blue colour which appeared to be very glossy as was the White underside and hull of the boat. As I walked around the boat she appeared in excellent condition with only very minor scratches and abrasions visible. Her chrome rubbing strake was also very neat and tidy with no obvious knock or scrapes visible, which is rare on this type of boat.
Her engines outdrive also appeared to be in very good condition, again, polished and free from very little corrosion. The propellor also looked in good condition.
The owner informs me that he imported this boat from the USA in 2010 and he has been the only owner since then. It is obvious from the present condition of this boat that she appears to have been well looked after and has in effect had little use as the original engine is only showing to have been run for 195 hours which is very low for a boat of this type.
Lifting the engine cover I was also very pleasantly surprised to see an engine that was very clean and tidy and showing no obvious signs of corrosion or leaking of any fluids, it looked overall to be in a condition you would expect to see in an almost new boat.
Stepping into the cockpit I was struck by the width of the beam of the boat for her length, she has lots of useable space within the cockpit area with lots of storage and what appear to be very well padded and comfortable seating in abundance for friends and guests to really be able to enjoy days out onboard. The quality of the upholstery throughout looked to be in very good condition with thick padding throughout.
I did notice and the owner agreed with me was that the carpets in the cockpit area were a little grubby from sandy feet onboard and could use a scrub which is an easy thing to rectify.
The front centre part of the spray screen opens up and the sliding companionway door once closed creates nice central steps up onto the wide and reasonably flat foredeck to allow even more space for lounging and sunbathing.
Stepping down below into the forward cabin/cubby area there was lots of space but as you would expect the head height is limited with this design of boat. But as a lounging area there is bags of space and again the upholstery was heavily padded and appeared in excellent condition. I also could not fault the condition of the headlining which also looked to be in great condition. There is a small sink/galley area which also houses a porta potti tucked cleverly underneath. And for lounging down below there was a set of stereo speakers connected to the boats stereo system which runs throughout the boat.
Also included in the sale is an inflatable 2.6m tender and not forgetting the imposing looking twin axle braked trailer which given the cost of permanently mooring a boat in a marina these days represents a massive cost saving of running a boat by being able to store her on land and have her available for use whenever you want.
All in all I would say that this is quite a rare boat to come to market but to find her in this condition is a treat. With the season just around the corner I would advise booking an early viewing as I don’t think this boat will be hanging around for long!
