CPC have constructed many of these Tarpon 42’s conceived by naval architect Gilbert CAROFF to D cat. and constructed to withstand the rigors of life in hire fleets throughout Europe. This is an owner version never used in hire service and ordered by the previous client in 2007 with full width master cabin aft and an open plan galley making one large convivial day space of the wheelhouse saloon area. Used as a full time live aboard for three years by the first owner, the boat is equipped with diesel fired central heating to radiators, CruiseAir marine AC unit and a 6.5Kva Fischer Panda generator in a cocoon. Black and grey water tanks. All the space and style of a quality Dutch steel cruiser but with the ease of maintenance of a GRP construction.

Broker's Comments

Boatshed Midi Canals is pleased to offer this Tarpon 42 for sale. You see dozens of these Tarpon 42 hire boats on the French waterways, they are very popular with hire crews for their spacious accommodation and huge deck spaces. Just a few of these popular boats are built to private order and this is one of the best I’ve seen. Built for the previous owner to a high specification.

Well executed and well maintained, this is a comfortable, practical and well equipped example. Rare and a “must visit” if you’re looking for an easy maintenance family cruiser with oceans of outdoor space, well protected by all round stanchions and a full aft deck cover.

Currently dry stored in a yard in the Midi, the current owner will order a full anti fouling before relaunch.

For more information or organise a visit, please contact graham, your local broker at Boatshed midicanals.
