Broker's Comments
Here we have a Bahama Major 42 single level cruiser that has been modified to be a cosy and spacious place to spend extended time afloat or even be a liveaboard.
She has two sleeping cabins plus a sofa bed, one cabin with a full size double and one with a large single or small double depending how you look at it. She has two heads compartments and the larger one is also a shower compartment.
The large open-plan saloon and galley occupy the forward half of the boat and has been tastefully done and is a warm and comfortable. This is a flexible space and has a multi fuel stove fitted in addition to the diesel warm air heating. The dual walled stove flue can be detached if required.
The large forward well is always a popular feature of these types of boats.
She has shore power fitted and the vendor has just put her through a fresh Boat Safety inspection so she has a current and long BSC.
She is in need of the roof being rubbed down and repainted and so too the walkways but this is cosmetic and reflected in the low asking price.
Her Perkins engine starts and runs readily and she was serviced late last year, antifouled earlier this year and she shifts drive gears as she should. She has had a new fuel tank fitted recently which is bigger than normal. The roof linings in the forward half have all just been renewed which a big job.
If you are looking for a large, single level boat then this boat is a bargain in the current market and priced to sell.
I believe in the video I mention the engine is a BMC it is actually a Perkins as detailed.
These boat details are subject to contract.
Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
